Teacher Wellbeing workshop Toowoomba

It’s so easy to begin the term refreshed after holidays, only to find health and wellbeing slips down the priority list as the term progresses.

But imagine if you had the skills to support yourself so you could make it through the school year with a little left in the tank?

Come along to this workshop and mini-retreat to learn about and experience some powerful self-care practices that you can include in your life daily and weekly to help support yourself through the busy school term.

Please note: Change of date. You asked, we listened. We know taking time off class for PD during term time is tough, so we’ve changed the date to the first day of QLD school holidays. You can still sleep in, and then come and enjoy an afternoon of rejuvenation for the mind and body!

When: Saturday 29th June 2019, 12 – 3pm

What: A experiential wellbeing PD covering the science of stress, practical ways to combat the impact of stress on the body and mind, a range of self-care skills and restorative practices that teachers can use to rejuvenate regularly. Plus some meditation and delicious restorative yoga.

Where: Canvas Coworking Inc, Suite 1/625 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba

Cost: $198 includes the afternoon and a bag of goodies to take home with you

Remember, you are a person first and a teacher second and you can’t pour from an empty cup!

Your Hosts:

Ellen Ronalds Keene is a meditation instructor, life and wellbeing coach, host of the Teacher Wellbeing Podcast and founder of Self-Care for Teachers. Miranda Mitchell is a personal trainer, yoga teacher and martial arts instructor, and founder of Kickstart Martial Arts and Yoga.

We’re both teachers, so we get it.

We aren’t going to tell you to take a meditation break in the middle of a busy classroom or to “just not take work home with you”. We understand the demands and restrictions of the job, and how much you care about your students.

We also both have first-hand experience of what happens when teachers don’t make your health a priority and the impact that can have both in the classroom and in life.

We have made it our mission to study a range of modalities to improve and support health, happiness and wellbeing and will give you practical, adaptable ideas to support yourself at work and at home.

We look forward to creating a space for you to relax, recharge and reset.
