She began her career as a high school Music, Japanese and English teacher and went on to study transformational coaching, human behaviour and meditation. She is also a writer, podcaster, speaker and chronic disease thriver.

Following some major health events during her university years, Ellen found she was even more prone to burnout in her early career than most. She is passionate about preventing teacher burnout, improving teacher wellbeing and helping people overcome their barriers to self-care.

Through coaching and a series of online resources, Ellen supports her clients to improve their health, happiness and wellbeing by fitting their own oxygen masks first. She also regularly shares helpful wellbeing tips, self-care strategies and useful articles in her weekly newsletter, the Teacher Wellbeing Podcast and through various social media channels.
